A smart device-side load balancer controls the delivery of every video chunk to ensure the highest playback quality and to minimize the overall content delivery costs.
Rebuffering and playback failures are strong indicators of congestion on the CDN. The more the audience, the less bandwidth is available per one viewer, the higher the chances of streaming failures and cascade quality degradation.
To avoid such failures OTT (Over the Top) can only switch between CDNs trying to predict which CDN would be better for a particular viewer. The company provides each viewer with multiple connections to other peers and constantly measures their quality. Real-time switching to the best source of the traffic results in decreasing rebuffering rates up to 4 times compared to traditional CDNs.
2. Adaptive & scalable P2P(Peer-to-Peer) CDN for OTT video streaming services
The company creates adaptive and secure peer-to-peer Content Delivery Network enabling viewer's devices to stream video to each other.
The company provides peer-to-peer CDN services for online TV and video-on-demand services.
A simple JavaScript plugin to a video player enables devices watching the same video connect with each other through WebRTC to transfer video chunks between each other, decreasing the traffic consumption from original CDN by 80%.
Each viewer's device gets connected to several other viewers using WebRTC supported natively by more than 75% of devices. The viewer does not have to install any plugins. The network is built automatically and adjusts in real-time to provide peers with the best connectivity.
