A German physician developed a first aid concept for on- and offshore wind farms and established a coaching company specialized in emergency medical aid.
As the situation of every wind farm operator, every generator, every technician differs in terms of equipment, qualification, geographical circumstances and access to infrastructure, every course as well as the individually compiled first aid kits are adapted to the results of a comprehensive analysis. The entire concept of analysis, course, first aid kit and implementation is successfully established and operating in Germany.
The company looks for partners to establish license agreements for widening their range at European wind farms, joint venture agreements for the further development within a temporary partnership and to supply wind farm operators in their long-term service activities.
Advantages & innovations
Implementing the first aid concept has major advantages for wind farm operators and technicians. The concept offers:
- tailor-made course schemes for on- and offshore wind farms,
- scenario- and case-based training (e.g. respiratory protection test track),
- content adapted to the individual situation of each wind farm, service-provider or operating company (in terms of technology, geography, organization etc.),
- taking into account technicians' individual first aid education level,
- incorporating the individual emergency-equipment available on the wind turbines within a wind farm,
- taking into account the individual rescue concept of the wind farm operator,
- special adapted configuration of an emergency-backpack for wind farm technicians.
Furthermore, the concept is already adapted to legally authorized standard operation procedures for applying medication by lay persons in Germany.
