Island Šipan has a unique sort of carob which is locally called ''Carin'' which means Emperor - emperor between the carobs. It got the name because of its size and quality. It is one of the two varieties of carob described in Croatian professional literature. It is rich in taste and sugar content. Croatian company's 100% handcrafted milled carob flour is essential ingredient in many cakes, puddings, desserts and bread. Naturally sweet and gluten-free, it enhances fruit drinks, smoothies and milkshakes. It is very rich in Calcium, Potassium, Phosphorus and minerals as well as being high in fiber.
Carob powder is fantastic for ice-cream makers as it is new fantastic taste on the market which goes along with other flavors like apple and especially Mediterranean fruits like figs. Due to this facts the company has made first carob processing plant in Dubrovnik county in recent past.
Due to small numbers of pests carob trees are not treated with any pesticides and in production the company is not using any additives or preservatives.
The company is committed to produce premium quality and rich carob taste flour and powder. Apart from their standard packing size (250 g, 1 kg) and granulation the company is ready to offer products according to customers needs.
