Description
This Italian company is located in the south, in Puglia region, more precisely in the province of Bari. The company
was founded in 1878, today the production takes place from 800 plants of Coratina and Ogliarola variety.
The Coratina can be defined as the intense oil. Its strong and intense character derives from the inimitable taste of
freshly pressed olives, a well recognizable style given by the sharp but balanced spicy and bitter notes. The Coratina
variety is also known for the high number of polyphenols present, unlike other varieties. They are very powerful
antioxidants that give the spicy note typical of Coratina Evoo.
Instead the Ogliarola can be defined as the delicate oil. It is characterized by an almond aftertaste with a slight
pungent sensation, from the Ogliarola Barese comes a versatile extra virgin olive oil that gives the smell sensations of aromatic herbs and spring scents.
The company also produces three flavored oil (basil, lemon and chilly pepper), by adding the fresh ingredients with
the olives during the pressing process.
The oil features are:
- 0.1% acidity (the acidity of an extra virgin olive oil must never exceed 0.8%);
- by law, cold extraction means keeping the temperature below 27 degrees. The company extract at 22-23 degrees so
the evo oil is richer in fragrances and nutrients;
- 900 parts per million of polyphenols for Coratina cultivar and it is these very powerful antioxidants that give the spicy
note typical of high quality oil and make the company oil a “nutraceutical" oil.
A different, innovative, plastic-free packaging, which combines practicality and elegance, also contributes to enrich
the quality of the company oil.
The company is already on the market but is trying to expand its selling abroad, in the following markets: Germany,
France, Netherland, Switzerland, Austria, China and in the USA.
