The French company has developed and provides Mobility as a Service (MaaS) solutions for local authorities and public transport companies willing to facilitate the life of passengers in public transport and promote soft mobility solutions.
With this innovative offer, the company’s mission is twofold:
• to simplify the life of passengers by enabling them to enjoy their mobility with a single application, a single payment method and a single account.
• and give cities and transport operators the means to implement their mobility policy, enabling them to understand the travel flows and needs of their citizens and passengers, with an impact on reducing private car use and prioritizing soft mobility solutions.
The French company has developed and provided Mobility as a Service (MaaS) solutions in white label to more than 70 local authorities and public transport operators so far.
From the user side, the whole innovation is a modular mobile application including a real-time and predictive multimodal / intermodal journey planner, passenger information, in-app m-ticketing and a book & pay feature for private mobility service providers (bike sharing, e-scooter sharing, car sharing, carpooling, etc.).
The goal of the SME is to give local authorities and transport operators the right tools to manage their mobility policy through a commercial agreement with technical assistance or a license agreement.
Advantages & innovations
The solution enables a journey planner (itinerary and mobility mode) for its users. This innovation developed by the French company brings to the forefront the intermodality between public transport and other forms of mobility in the territories, and in particular soft mobility, offering urban travellers faster and cleaner routes.
Through its strong cooperation with a top tier R&D centre on mathematics and informatics in France, the R&D team is working on the Goal Directed Connection Scan Algorithm (GDCSA), an algorithm improving on the Connection Scan Algorithm (CSA) which is used in other solutions, using goal directed techniques for journey planning with multi-criteria range queries in public transit networks. This allows the journey planning of multi-criteria range queries to be used in interactive applications to satisfy the clients’ needs, with run times of less than 0.5 seconds on most European city or country-wide networks.
The company is an independent player that offers modular and configurable solutions that can be integrated into a variety of contexts.
