A Greek SME company with expertise in conceptualizing, designing and producing various management sensors and smart city applications, has designed and developed a series of innovative water sensors. These sensors upgrade existing water meters to smart water meters. The Greek company is addressing the problem of sustainable water management.The sensors have designed to retrieve data from existing water meters, and connect that data to the cloud. More specifically, they connect with cable to any type of water meter with pulse output or with standard output (various implementations). The sensors read the output of a water meter about the water flow and broadcast it to an end user. Τhe end user access the data through a provided dashboard and a mobile application for both for Android and iOS. Once deployed the sensors, are holistically managed remotely, without any need for visiting the installation premises. What make the sensors innovative is that apart from reading the output they can simultaneously store, calculate and take decisions. For example, while a sensor measures the consumption of a water meter, at the same time it calculates and decides to notify when it detects a leak or breakage of the pipeline or excessive consumption. What makes the sensors smart is that the data has the form of notifications. So, the user is not overloaded with input, but only provided with the necessary information on issues that need to be addressed immediately. All technologies are manufactured from start to finish at the company’s facilities. The company also haves also developed various integration options, for interoperability with third-party management software platforms. Finally, the sensors have both Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Compliant and CE certification. Τhe Greek company is looking for entities interested in installing the sensors in their facilitations under commercial agreement with technical support.
