<p><a href="https://www.climate-kic.org/who-we-are/what-is-climate-kic/" target="_blank">EIT Climate KIC</a> invites eligible entities to apply to the CEE Community Lab 2022 call. Full details about this call can be seen in the Call Document.<br><a href="https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZIkfumupzguHt18ooV5TOW9c06_h02iVjzq" target="_blank">Register for the upcoming Community Lab Call 2022 Zoom online information session on 14 July 12:00 CEST here</a>.</p><p><strong>How can you apply?</strong></p><p>Proposals can be submitted at any time from the launch of the call <strong>until 18.00 CEST</strong> on the day of closing as indicated in the timeline section of this document.</p><p><strong>All applications must be submitted via Plaza, using the proposal form “<i>RIS ACTION LINE II RIS Ideation and Pilot Projects (BP2022)</i>”, and using the Final Submit button.</strong></p><p>Organisations/individuals who are not yet EIT Climate-KIC Partners but are preparing a bid will need to access the proposal submission system for this Call: Plaza. Should you have any issues with registration, please contact the EIT Climate-KIC Community Desk at <a href="mailto:communitydesk@climate-kic.org">communitydesk@climate-kic.org</a>. <strong>It is strongly recommended to register with the system as a first step – do not leave registration until the last moment.</strong></p><p><strong>How will applications be evaluated?</strong></p><p>Proposals will be assessed by EIT Climate-KIC teams and, additionally, applications may be assessed by up to three independent assessors. Independent assessors are from both business and academia in areas relevant to our ‘<i>Transformation, In Time</i>’ strategy.</p><p>The applications will follow a one-stage full proposal submission scheme and be summarily assessed by EIT Climate-KIC teams via a one-step assessment phase. This phase will involve review and assessment of the proposals, and then a review with an eye for achieving and EU dimension, spread, diversity, and fit across the full spectrum of proposals.</p><p><strong>CEE Community Lab</strong></p><p>This Call is aimed at strengthening the Central &amp; Eastern European (CEE) ecosystem of organizations working towards the transition of coal dependent regions to a zero carbon economy by addressing one of the main CEE problem spaces/ barriers preventing this transition: the lack of community and trust both on trans-national (CEE) or local level (national, regional). We are especially interested in solutions to the cultural, demographic, historical and sociological challenges blocking the transformation and decreasing active engagement of the impacted groups in co-creation of the just future for them.</p><p>The Call aims to identify a Partner or the group of Partners willing to pull together and animate an ecosystem of a portfolio of stakeholders whose engagement would contribute significantly to overcoming blockages of just transition, specifically addressing the lack of community and trust in this space, in following countries: Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Estonia, Slovakia and Czechia.</p><p><strong>Who can apply?</strong><br>This Call is open to both EIT Climate-KIC partners and non-partner organisations. The lead Partner (individual application or a consortium bid) is required to be based in an EIT RIS eligible country. To receive an EIT grant it is expected from organisation(s) that have submitted the winning application to become an EIT partner.</p><p><strong>RIS eligible countries: </strong><br>Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Montenegro*, Republic of North Macedonia*, Serbia*, Turkey*, Ukraine*, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Réunion, Martinique, Mayotte and Saint-Martin (France), the Azores and Madeira (Portugal), and the Canary Islands (Spain).</p><p><strong>Important:</strong> Please note that applicants are responsible for checking the <a href="https://www.climate-kic.org/" target="_blank">EIT Climate-KIC grant website page</a> for updated information related to this Call.</p><p>Amendments to the Guidelines and inclusion of Frequently Asked Questions may be issued.</p>
