Summary
Italian SME with longstanding experience in the implementation of Industry 4.0 solutions developed a technology enabling more efficient management of wine and other beverages bottling line operations, improving product quality, reducing waste and costs and optimizing production processes and energy consumption. The company is looking for new foreign partners under commercial agreement with technical assistance.
Description
SME located in North-West Italy, founded in 1995 as internet solution and web related services provider (such as website development, e-mail and hosting), progressively expanded its business to the asset management sector (i.e. management and optimisation of corporate assets) and to IoT solutions development within Industry 4.0 framework.
In this context, the company has developed a web technology aimed at monitoring the overall effectiveness of bottling lines’ equipment. The technology directly connects to the production plants with a view to getting inputs from the production equipment, providing real time information such as process or packaging parameters. The technology - initially aimed at wine bottling lines, then extended to other beverages bottling processes - would considerably reduce drift problems and limit the amount of waste product, not meeting desired quality standards.
As, usually, a number of production and quality control equipment and devices are already present in bottling plants, any new solution must be able to connect and work with existing management systems. In this perspective, the offered web technology allows real time production management and control from different electronic devices (smartphone, computer, tablet), integrating the production process with existing corporate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Main technology features:
• The Industry 4.0 for bottling lines start from the finished product up to the packaging of pallets ready for shipment to the customer.
• The operators on the line verify and track the batches along the now paperless line. They become aware in real time of any production slowdowns or unsuitable materials.
• At the same time, management keeps efficiency and quality under control.
• The maintenance manager manages interventions and inspections on the plant's machines and systems in paperless mode.
The technology is already on the market; company business is well established in Italy and now wishes to further expand in the EU and beyond, with particular focus on countries with consolidated wine production (France, Spain, Portugal
etc…) and/or bottling industry. Nevertheless, the company is open to requests coming from any country.
The type of cooperation sought is a commercial agreement with technical assistance; ideal partners are either ERP providers for the wine sector or bottling industry providers, as well as distributors with technical background and specific
market knowledge.
