Description
The institution was established in 1946, in a vineyard in Transylvania, representing the central area of Romania. At present, it functions as a public institution and is integrated into the national network of agricultural research.
The structure and organization of the research sector are scientific research in the field of viticulture and vinification regarding genetics and improvement of the viticultural assortment, production of planting material with high biological value, agrotechnical and viticulture ecology, agro chemistry, physiology and biochemistry, plant protection and winemaking.
The directions of the development sector are production and marketing of the following products: high-quality viticultural planting material from white wine varieties and table varieties (grafted vines, cuttings), fruit planting material (apple, pear, peach, apricot, plum, sour cherry, cherry), alignment trees and ornamental shrubs, wines with a controlled designation of origin (POD), and production of natural fruit juices.
The company would like to expand its business in new markets. It is interested in long-term partnerships with companies with a distribution chain, and knowledge of the market needs. Thus, it is interested in entering into a commercial service agreement with plant shops, farmers, grapevine growers for wine production, traders who want to sell the products produced by the Romanian company as well as with other nurseries. Cooperation will be based on commercial agreement.
