A lot of manufacturing companies are striving to increase their operational effectiveness. Implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for decisions do not usually bring the expected outcome and value.
To tackle this problem, a Czech SME has developed and successfully implemented methodology for decisions at all levels of the manufacturing process based on collecting, analyzing and reporting production-related data to get the Return on Investment (ROI) values. The company offers to implement its product either independently or as an extension to existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Advanced Planning (AP) systems to manufacturing companies by providing them with an IT platform enabling real-time decisions to increase productivity and return on capital. The ROI is calculated in real time correctly, for all enterprise resources, processes and products.
The product is offered as three separate modules of enterprise applications:
1. Finance: a solution for financial departments
2. Shop floor planning and control: a solution for operational departments in the manufacturing industry
3. Shop floor staff coordination: a solution to dynamically manage shop floor staff assignments. It is a part of the shop floor planning and control but it can be deployed as stand-alone only as well.
The product offered has been awarded “SME Instrument Phase I.” and now is successfully deployed to manufacturing industry. References obtained from implementation so far are from electronic, automotive and textile industries. The company is focusing mainly on medium-size and big companies from automotive and general engineering sectors with technologies consisting of many types of operations.
As the company wishes to enter new markets (the SME wishes to begin with Germany, Austria and Slovakia), local partners for the product implementation are needed.
Partnership is expected to be via license agreement with partners who have knowledge of the manufacturing or IT sector and which locally deliver the solution, install the product and provide necessary assistance to the local customers in the above mentioned countries.
Another implementation partners might be as well consulting companies looking for implementing the tool offered under own label.
