The impact that activities have on CO2 emissions and climate change are ever more important and no area of life is exempt, including death and funerals. With increasing numbers of people wanting to bury their pets when they've died the environmental pressure of funerals is set to increase.
A UK-SME has developed a range of coffins, including pet coffins, that are made from a biopolymer that is completely natural and biodegradable. Even when cremated these coffins release no more CO2 than natural wood.
The coffins can be manufactured through injection moulding of the biopolymer material. The UK SME is looking for manufacturing companies that is able to manufacture these coffins in a range of sizes to accommodate the pet market through injection moulding. It is expected that the partnership will take the form of a manufacturing agreement.
