A Brussels-based SME provides a solution for real-time risk alerts on physical security & situational awareness by combining human and AI. The solution analyse a wide range of threats to companies’ security and business continuity.
Description
Businesses are facing more and more external threats that put at risk their businesses. In order to increase companies resilience and to help them to mitigate the risks that they face, the Brussels-based SME offers a solution combining human and artificial intelligence to identify and verify information from media and social media on potential threats to security and business continuity. The threats covered by the risk intelligence include: crime, terrorism, protests, epidemic, natural disaster, travel disruptions, supply chain disruptions, political instability, sanctions etc…
The company provides access to the latest safety, security & travel risk alerts via both a user-friendly online platform and APIs (Application Programming Interface).
The online platform provides user-friendly access to the latest safety, security & travel risk alerts so that companies can monitor and assess risks in real-time. The platform counts 8 years of historical data, 270 000 monthly alerts and 5 million alerts in the database. Users can customise the platform by applying filters such as location (country or specific location such as offices, hotel, factory etc…), topics (crime, terrorism, epidemic, travel warning etc…), impact and set up email notifications.
The SME has also developed APIs allowing companies to import real time alerts and country profiles into own platforms and mobile apps. The API is provided for human verified alerts, AI generated alerts and country profiles.
The company’s methodology is based on 4 steps. The first step is intelligence gathering through an automated AI crawling of more than 7 000 sources (social media, governmental websites, and international & local media…). The second one is AI processing: an AI software selects relevant information, translate it into English, classify it by topic, location and impact then sends a draft alert to the analysts. The next step is human verification. A team of analysts verify the information based on the client’s needs and requirements in order to provide a customised approach. The final step is dissemination through the platform or the API. The platform and the API display both early warning alerts generated by the AI and the ones verified by the analyst team.
The company is looking for commercial agreement with technical assistance. The platform and the API are useful for companies willing to be more resilient and to anticipate international risks.
