The NIR-VANA project consortium (http://project.nir-vana.eu) maintains this website (http://platform.nir-vana.eu), also referred to as the NIR-VANA platform, to enhance the interaction and collaboration among different actors in open innovation, including but not limited to companies, SMEs, entrepreneurs, researchers, experts, investors, consultants and innovation advisors.

The NIR-VANA platform is born with the aim of offering innovation actors public and private spaces for sharing knowledge exchange and collaborative designing, facilitating partnerships and access to international networks, services and platforms.

The platform can be used to publish news, announcements of discussions, collaborative proposals, partnership profiles and success cases that fall within the scope of the initiative to promote dialogue and collaboration among actors.

Your use of the service is at your sole risk. Even with regard to the fact that we expend appropriate endeavours for holding the content of the website current, complete and correct, we cannot entirely rule out the possibility of errors. We therefore do not warrant for correctness or completeness, accurateness or reliability of the information and data provided within our web pages to the user. Moreover we do not warrant the serviceability and availability of the web page. Registered trademarks and proprietary names, and copyrighted text and images, are not generally indicated as such on our web pages. But the absence of such indications in no way implies that these names, images or text belong to the public domain and can be used of the user.

We cannot assume any liability for the content of external pages linked with this website. We cannot assume any liability for the comportment of users or third persons as well as for contents or declarations provided or passed by the users or by third persons in conjunction with this web page. We cannot assume any liability for damages of users or third persons, which could be caused by disruption, temporary suspension or termination of serviceability or availability of the website. In case that we are – irrespective of the above mentioned conditions for any cause in law – liable, liability is limited in each case to the compensation of such damages caused by wilful misconduct and gross negligence of our legal representatives or vicarious agents, in case of slight negligence only in case of the infringement of a material contractual obligations. Reproduction is authorised, provided the source is acknowledged, save where otherwise stated. Where prior permission must be obtained for the reproduction or use of textual and multimedia information (sound, images, software, etc.), such permission shall cancel the above-mentioned general permission and shall clearly indicate any restrictions on use.

2. Privacy Policy

The NIR-VANA consortium takes the protection of your Data very seriously. When we process the Personal Data and Organisation Data that is collected during your visits to the website, we always observe the rules laid down in the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG; Federal Data Protection Act).

The data controller and responsible for the treatment is the NIR-VANA consortium.

The aim of the NIR-VANA platform is to achieve the objectives of sharing and publishing information - including contact data - through the platform itself and possibly by transferring to third parties on the basis of specific agreements (e.g. platforms and international brokers in open innovation, international support networks for innovation and competitiveness, etc.).

The personal data provided at the time of registration will be used to allow access to the platform. In addition to the above stated purpose, the data provided may be processed for the submission of platform-related communications (e.g. newsletters).

You agree that any information provided in your user profile other than the contact email and any information shared on public collaboration spaces will be publicly available through the NIR-VANA platform.

You agree that any information shared on private collaboration spaces will be only accessible to the users invited to those spaces.

You agree not to share in the platform information about unauthorized third parties' personal data and copyrighted information, trademarks, patents, business secrets or other intellectual, personal, contractual, proprietary, or third party rights without the consent of their respective rights owners. The user is solely liable for damages resulting from the failure to obtain permissions or other damages directly or indirectly resulting from content provided and / or shared through the platform.

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don't have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.

In order to optimise the website and marketing, we use various Web-analysis programs, which collect pseudonymised data. The following describes the programs in detail:

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a Web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, which are text files which are saved on your computer and which enable an analysis of your usage of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your usage of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

In the event of an activation of IP anonymisation on this website, however, your IP address is abbreviated within member states of the European Union or in other contract states to the Treaty concerning the European Economic Area first. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information in order to evaluate your usage of the website, in order to draw up reports about website activity and in order to render further services associated with the website usage and Internet usage to the website operator. The NIR-VANA consortium has implemented technical and organizational security measures to safeguard stored personal and firm specific data against inadvertent or deliberate manipulation, loss or destruction and against access by unauthorized persons. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological progress. Confidential data transmitted via the Internet to the NIR-VANA platform are protected by a Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 with an encryption of at least 128-bits. TLS encryption protects all user data transmission details as they are passed back and forth between the browser and the server.

Once the user data is submitted, it resides on a server that is secured both physically and electronically. All data from NIR-VANA platform is stored on German high performance cloud servers. The servers comply with all German privacy policies and are ISO-27001 (Information technology — Security techniques — Information security management systems — Requirements) certified.

Our website may contain links to other provider’s web pages. We would like to point out that this privacy policy applies exclusively to the websites managed by the NIR-VANA consortium. We have no way of influencing the practices of other providers with respect to data protection, nor do we carry out any checks to ensure that they conform the relevant legislation. Thus, please read the data protection conditions of those other providers on their respective websites.

You have a legal right to inspect any stored data concerning your person, and also the right to demand the correction or deletion of such data, and to withdraw your consent for the further use of such data.

In some cases, if you are a registered user of certain services provided by the NIR-VANA platform, we offer you the possibility of inspecting these data online, and even of deleting or modifying the data yourself.
