The Italian SME located in Rome started its activity in 1973 and now it is a leading manufacturer of rehabilitation equipments. After years of study and research, initially born in the field of oncology, the company received the certification for the development of an innovative machine for physical therapy for the hyperthermia. Hyperthermia is the possibility to focus on a well defined area inside the body, at a variable depth (from 1 cm to 8 cm), enough energy to carry the relevant part (target volume) at a very specific and controlled high temperature. Hyperthermia is indicated for pathologies of different nature. With regard to tendon pathologies, this therapy is recommended in the case of tendinitis, peritendinitis, insertion tendinopathies and tendinosis. The same therapy can be used in the case of muscular illnesses, including bruising, strains and muscle tears. It is also indicated for bursitis and fasciitis and for neural and osteocartilage disorders (bruises, distortions, arthrosis). The developed system: - is capable of controlling the temperature of the surface layer of the application (skin); - ensures the reproducibility of the therapies performed, more specifically the possibility of maintaining constant and precise the temperature required in the absence of areas overheated whenever we decide to repeat the same application patterns; - Is capable of operating on target-volume in those temperature ranges in which the heat has an effective therapeutic power for the purposes of physical rehabilitation (necessary for optimal and specific resolution of the pathology)... The device is contained in a four-wheeled metal cabinet (two are hidden inside the body, two under the wooden shelves). The control console is located on the top, facing the operator side, and contains the control electronics, with a practical 7” TFT screen of the “touch-screen" type, which can be used by the operator for all the operations of both setting and control and verification of the supply. The applicator (antenna with bolus) is placed on a hinged arm fixed to the chassis rear. The mains plug, fuse holders and light switch are located below on the right side, between the grid and the wooden shelf. The company is looking for partners interested in distribution services agreement or commercial agency agreement. Experience in the industry and established contacts with medical wholesalers, specialist medical shops, hospitals and clinics as well as elderly care homes, will be required from potential distributors or sales agents.
