The Kosovar company, established in 1917 in Rahovec, is a family business and produces wines and spirits. It is one of the first privately owned wineries in Kosovo and it has gained a strong reputation as a quality wine and spirit producing company over the years.
In the territory of the Municipality of Rahovec prevails continental climate with Mediterranean influence. Annual rainfall in Rahovec reaches 765 mm and the average air temperature is 11.8 ° C. The hottest month is July with a maximum temperature of 38.5 ° C, while in winter the coldest month is usually February, with a minimum temperature of -14.5 ° C. The winds of the north (11.8%), north-east (62%) and west (50%) are the most frequent, while the winds of the southeast (17%), south (14%) and south-east (4%).
The vineyards are located in a good territory with an altitude of about 350-380 meters where there is no problem with humidity. The solar radiation is transmitted from the beginning of the sunrise to sunset, which increase the quality of the grapes.
The vineyards are from 10-40 years old, are well maintained and have a high production potential. The work is done with small agricultural machinery such as moto cultivator and small tractors suitable for viticulture, most of the work is done by hand.
The winery specializes in the production of Cabernet Baroque, Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, Chardonnay wine, Kulla VRANÇ, Merlot, Pinot noir, Italian Riesling, Rose wine, Vranac, Vranac baroque, Grape brandy 40 % volume, Grape brandy 42% volume, Grape brandy 45% volume, etc.
The company has exported in few European countries in the past and it is currently exporting some small quantities to Germany.
The company is looking for potential partners from Europe and beyond in order to expand its business activities abroad. It seeks agents and distributors in order to represent and sell its wines and spirits in their local markets.
Potential agents would represent the company’s products and earn a commission on the sale of goods to the end clients. The potential distributing companies would buy the products from the Kosovar company and then resell them to their end clients with a profit margin.
